Jio 5G network services will first be rolled out in cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai by Diwali this year and rolled out across India by December 2023. The company says it will be the fastest rollout in the world. The telecommunications network currently has more than 420 million customers in the country.
Jio Phone 5G Specifications (expected)
Reports suggest that the Jio Phone 5G will sport a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 60Hz. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor paired with the Adreno 619 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of user-expandable storage. It is said to boot PragatiOS out of the box which it developed in partnership with Google.
Moving on to the optics, the Jio Phone 5G is said to sport a dual-camera setup, featuring a 13MP main sensor and a 2MP macro lens, on the back. On the front, it can sport an 8MP shooter for selfies and video calls. The phone is likely to feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and packs a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi- Dual band Fi, Bluetooth 5.0 and a USB Type-C port.
Jio Phone 5G price (expected)
The Jio Phone 5G is expected to cost between Rs 10,000 and Rs 15,000 and will come with a prepaid bundle. The phone will have a down payment option and the rest in easy EMI.
