How fast is the load currently running
According to the report, the new technology from the Chinese OEM would improve the current highest fast charging speed by around 20%. Currently, the highest charging speed offered on the market today is from the BBK Electronics brand, IQOO. The latter, on its flagship IQOO 10 Pro smartphone, offers 200W fast charging speed with the device. The latter can therefore recharge a device from zero to 100% in 12 minutes.
Now, according to Digital Chat Station on Chinese social media platform Weibo, a Chinese OEM is working on a mobile charging adapter with 24V, 10A charger – capable of delivering fast 240W charging speeds. , the OEM in question could be OPPO, IQOO’s BBK Electronics brand, which in February this year introduced 240W fast charging speeds capable of charging a 4,500mAh battery in just nine minutes.
Consumer fast charging speeds have improved dramatically, and most of them are already available in production itself. For example, with the Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge smartphone, the company introduced 120W fast charging speed, which could charge a 4,500mAh phone battery in just over 15 minutes. However, the new charging speed is expected to double the speed of fast charging, which could nearly halve the time it takes to charge a 4,500mAh battery.
However, it remains to be seen how these technologies affect the longevity of a smartphone’s battery life. More details are expected to come soon as the 240W fast charging speed could become a smartphone flagship feature.
